“I had a great time learning to make stained glass art! The class was a very laid back and welcoming experience. I felt like I could ask Tara as many questions as I needed and she was always helpful. Great teacher, fun time, cool sun catcher. 10/10 would recommend.”

While there is a possibility of minor cuts or burns, and we do work with lead, safety precautions are always in place. In all my classes, I’ve never had a student need to stop their project or seek medical attention. With proper guidance and care, the risks are minimal.

The copper foil method is great for intricate designs and smaller pieces, as it allows for thinner solder lines and more detail. It’s commonly used for decorative panels, suncatchers, and 3D projects like lamps. The lead came method, on the other hand, is better suited for larger projects with a more traditional look. It uses lead channels to hold the glass, creating a structured and durable panel, often seen in windows and architectural pieces. Both techniques have their strengths, and learning both expands your creative possibilities!
